We Need Your Help….

Our community is struggling to recover, and like everyone else Alpha Community Services YMCA has grappled with this ‘new normal’ but has met the many challenges to support the homeless community during these trying times. Alpha Community Services YMCA has been fortunate enough to have as partners several key local agencies that have helped make individual and families live a little bit easier.

 

 

Working together directing emergency funds to organizations on the ground and committed to changing individuals and family circumstances for the better.

 

Agencies changing their normal practices and priorities to better serve the Greater Bridgeport Region faced the countless challenges brought on by this pandemic. We are thankful to work alongside them.

Alpha Community Services YMCA upcoming 20th Annual Walk to End Homelessness will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 registration begins at 8:30am and The Walk begins at 9:00am. The theme of this year's Walk is:

 

                          Hope -  Health -  Happiness -Optimism

 

Let's give those who need help, the an opportunity to get their lives back to normal. The many programs and services that Alpha Community Services YMCA provides the chance to regain their stability during these difficult times.

 

We will be back at Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport where the walk will take us along the pictorial St. Mary’s by-the-Sea to views of Long Island Sound and Black Rock Harbor and back to the Cove. The day’s event will feature local guests, experiences, local celebrities, and some musical performances throughout.

 

.....But we still need you to join in the Walk to End Homelessness.

 

We will be streaming the Walk on Facebook both intermittently during the Walk as well as the last hour of The Walk to raise awareness and monies for Alpha Community Services YMCA.
